Finalists announced for North Scotland Hair & Beauty Industry Awards

We are so thrilled to announce the Finalists for this year's North Scotland Hair & Beauty Industry Awards!

Whilst this year has been a very strange year, we have genuinely been blown away with the effort made by the Finalists in carefully structuring their entries to the first virtual awards ceremony, which this year expands to cover the whole of the North of Scotland.

This year also saw the introduction of an expanded judges panel, based both in Aberdeen and Inverness. We were delighted to have attracted such high calibre judges to provide such a wealth of specific experience to judge and score each entry. The dedication of each and every one of the judges throughout the process of finding this year's winners shone throughout, with various debates and discussions ensuing to ensure that each entry was reviewed in a fair and ethical way.

Of couse, within the last twelve months, Scottish Hair & Beauty Industry Awards received its own award, and achieved the very highest accreditation with the Independent Awards Standards Council. So the pressure was definitely on to ensure that all the ongoing criteria that the Awards has to meet itself to maintain this trust mark, was met and exceeded.

Thank you so much to every single one of you that entered the competition this year, a year which can only be described as hugely challenging. It's been an incredibly difficult year so far, which makes judging each entry even more challenging. Reaching consensus on Finalists for any award during any normal time is difficult enough, let along with the ongoing pandemic fears.

Therefore, we want to take this opportunity to do an immediate shout out to all those that did not meet the threshold to be a Finalist this year. We respectively request that you do not feel too disappointed at this news. The standard of entries this year was incredibly high, and just because you were pipped to the post by other entries, does not mean that you haven't succeeded in any aspect of your personal development and/or your business. We are always willing to provide feedback on your entry, and if you would like this, please get in touch with us. Everyone that entered these awards is a winner in our eyes, and you should be hugely celebratory of your efforts to get this far.

Congratulations to all the Finalists, very well done! This is no mean feat this year as the competition was fierce! We are preparing your e-digital Finalist Certificate and this will be e-mailed to you over the next 7 days.

Please note that a few of the award categories did not have entries that quite met our minimum threshold, so if you do not see your category here, then it unfortunately means that you didn't quite make it through to being a Finalist. Also, for those that were entered into the nomination categories, the winner for each will be announced at the Virtual Awards on 29 November 2020.

So what happens now?

This is your chance to shine and get the public, family, friends, your clients and your peers behind you! You are now through the public vote. All you have to do now, is to download the "Vote for me" graphic(s) and encourage as many votes as possible. Here are the download links:-

Once you have downloaded the graphics, depending on which social media channel you are using, post the graphic, with a wee mushy message to encourage votes, and point them to this voting page:-

Just some quick guidance. Voters must be logged into their favourite social media channel - Google, Facebook or LinkedIn (sorry, these are the only ones), they can only vote for you once but they can vote for up to 5 other finalists.

And that is it!

Voting is open until 23:45 on 30 October 2020, so best of luck!

Well done to everyone that has participated in this year's competition so far. You are all winners in our eyes, and if you didn't quite make it this time round, we genuinely hope that you try again in 2021.

Best wishes, The Team at Scottish Hair & Beauty Industry Awards
